La gran Orquesta Típica "OTRA"
OTRA is the tango orchestra of the department Argentinian Tango of the Music Faculty of Codarts, the Rotterdam University for the Arts.
Apart from the work of the orchestra's of Osvaldo Pugliese (who was the artistic leader of the Argentinian Tango department of the Rotterdam WorldMusic Academy of the Rotterdam Conservatory/Codarts), Aníbal Troilo, Carlos Di Sarli and Horacio Salgán, there are also young Argentinian composers who write music for OTRA. Like Sonia Possetti, Alejandro Schwarz and Gustavo Gancedo.
The orchestra is led by Leo Vervelde and consists of students and teachers from the Tango department. Over the years, OTRA has performed in Spain, Germany, Belgium and France. In 2006 OTRA participated in the 'VII festival Buenos Aires Tango' in Argentina and one of their concerts was being broadcast live on the Argentinian television. - Dancemusic at his best!

Las Guitarras Porteñas
The guitar quartet is one of the most obvious. The use of 3 guitars and 1 guitarron makes it possible to use the timbre of the guitar to it’s fullest capacity and to reproduce the rhythmic diversity of the tango very well. This type of ensemble has its roots in the early days of the development of Argentinean tango and has remained pivotal to this date.
Guitarras Portenas will play at the concert part on festivals saturday in Hist. Stadthalle.

Trio Enfierrado
"Fierro" bedeutet umgangssprachlich: bewaffnet sein, oder einfach nur Metall. Natürlich ist damit die Tuba gemeint, die nicht häufig, aber wenn dabei, sehr ausdrucksvoll im Tango erscheint. So hat der Tango wohl geklungen, bevor er auf die Bühnenbretter gehoben wurde. Die 3 Musiker spielen authentisch argentinischen Tango, kraftvoll und unprätenziös.

Gisela Natoli & Gustavo Rosas
Their smoothness is natural, their elegance self-evident. A Tango couple which conveys the erotic moment of tango stylishly and classy onto the stage.
Long-standing experience in multiple movie- and show productions such as "Tangokinesis" by Ana Maria Stekelman are the foundation of their dancing certainty. In addition to that Gustavo and Giselas roots lie in classical ballet an modern dance, where they received a well-founded training.
Gustavo and Gisela take are free to melt styles. Criterion is solely the feeling of music and body.
During the workshop they'll show us motion in its naturally flow. An aesthetic movement feels good, technical groundwork is shown exactly and will be trained. The change between sensuous gradualness and swift elements brings excitement into the dance.
Gisela & Gustavo provide workshops and start-off the festival with their "Neo-Tango" -show in the "Visual Concept Milonga"
On festivals saturday they'll dance on the ballnight.
